CAYENNE PEPPER

Origin:  Cayenne, French Guiana



Spice Up Dishes

Add a pinch to sauces, soups, and marinades to give them a kick.


Homemade Seasonings

Mix cayenne pepper with other spices to create custom seasoning blends for meats and vegetables.


Metabolism Booster

Add a pinch of cayenne to a glass of warm lemon water and drink first thing in the morning.


Sore Throat Relief

Dissolve a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper and a tablespoon of honey in a cup of warm water. Gargle several times a day as needed.


Pain Reliever

Mix 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper with 2-3 tablespoons of a carrier oil or unscented lotion. Apply to the affected area, but avoid open skin or sensitive areas.


Hair Growth Stimulant

Carefully mix 1/4 teaspoon cayenne with 2 tablespoons olive oil and apply to the scalp for 10-15 minutes before shampooing. (be cautious of potential irritation).


Pest Deterrent

Sprinkle a line of cayenne pepper powder where insects are entering the home.


Antifungal Plant Spray

Mix 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper with 2 cups of water and spray lightly on plant leaves.


Exfoliation

Mix a small amount of cayenne pepper with your homemade scrub mixture and gently massage onto the skin.
